Good morning Parents and Guardians

I hope you all are doing well! As we move through the school year, I wanted to take a moment to share how proud we are of the incredible progress and positive energy in our classrooms. Our teachers and staff have worked tirelessly to create a dynamic learning environment! The partnership between home and school continues to be a key ingredient in our success, and we’re so grateful for your ongoing support. Just a reminder for those parents that need to complete their student's consent for health-related services.

The 89th Texas Legislature recently passed Senate Bill 12 which requires school districts to obtain written permission from a parent/guardian before providing health-related services to that individual's child. Examples of this include: checking for fever, evaluating stomach pain, cleaning/bandaging an abrasion or determining if a student is well enough to remain in school. In such cases, you will be contacted and may be required to pick your child up from school to assess and manage their condition at home. Please be aware that if you decline consent or fail to return this form, Scurry-Rosser ISD Health Services staff cannot assess or provide care for non-emergency illness or injury.
